Inspiring Conversations with Rosemary Calcese of Transformation Title and Escrow & Calcese & Associates & Rosemary Calcese

November 13, 2024

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosemary Calcese.

Hi Rosemary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in a home marked by poverty and abuse, I faced daunting challenges that could have easily derailed my path. The trauma I endured instilled in me a belief that obedience would shield me from harm. For too long, I clung to this falsehood, but deep down, I knew my circumstances would not define my destiny. With unwavering determination, I earned my GED and, at just 18 years old, bravely enlisted in the military

The Navy provided the structure I needed to thrive, complementing the discipline instilled by my religious upbringing. As a woman in a male-dominated environment, I quickly learned that I had to surpass expectations—scoring higher and running faster than my peers. This resilience carried me through law school, where relentless effort and dedication led me to graduate with honors.

In the corporate world, I initially adhered to the mantra of obedience: “do what you’re told, and nothing bad will happen.” This mindset propelled my rise in the legal departments of several Fortune 500 companies, where I made a significant impact. However, my unyielding pursuit of excellence drove me to establish Calcese & Associates and Transformation Title and Escrow. With a visionary approach to both law and title, I lead my team with an unwavering commitment to excellence, ultimately achieving millionaire status

Despite growing up with nothing, I emphasize to my children the importance of giving back, believing it to be far more valuable than monetary success. This commitment to philanthropy led me to start Butterfly Cottages, a non-profit organization providing transitional services, including mental health and medical care, to children entering foster care. I also serve dutifully with the Aerial Recovery group, dedicated to ending human trafficking, healing our military heroes, and
offering disaster relief worldwide.

These experiences have profoundly shaped my perspective and inspired my writing. My first book is not a typical “rags to riches” story; rather, it is a guidebook for women who dream big and envision a life beyond their circumstances. Through my writing, I aim to empower others to embrace their potential and strive for greater things.

Ultimately, my journey is no longer about obedience but about the transformative power of
discipline

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced trials like growing up in poverty, earning my GED, and dealing with the death of my mom.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I own a robust legal practice and title company in Clarksville and recently expanded our services to our office on Music Row in Nashville. As general counsel for ARRT Global, I’m involved in some of the largest real estate transactions in Tennessee led by staples in our community like Joel D. Byerley and Sam Lingo. We are dedicated to improving the real estate landscape in Nashville with creative financing and real estate structures. Both gentlemen have referred to me as the best real estate counsel they have ever worked with.

What sets me apart from others is that I work on both billion dollar deals and single family home sales.

In my spare time, I’m proud to be a board member and provide legal guidance for Aerial Recovery, a non-profit committed to ending human trafficking. I recently took my children to Honduras where we worked with Aerial Recovery assisting orphanages and children targeted for trafficking.
I also work as a Guardian Ad Litem for foster children in our community. Foster children are at a higher risk of being trafficked and sexually exploited due to many factors including unstable living situations.

I’d love readers to know I’m writing a book and coaching female entrepreneurs as they start and grow their businesses. I offer 1:1 sessions and group coaching and love being able to motivate them with my story. If I can do it…anyone can.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was raised by a mother who was an addict and my father was in the Navy and gone a lot. My interests were in church and learning. I was very quiet and tried to be the “good girl” so I wouldn’t get in trouble.
